Will Rogers Medallion Awards
Plans are underway for WRMA's most exciting award weekend celebration yet! The celebration starts Thursday, October 29th, 2026, at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore with the annual Meet & Greet. While 2026 award winners, their guests, and event sponsors can attend the event for free, any additional guests will need to purchase tickets. Celebrities in attendance will include Bruce Boxleitner, Barry Corbin, and Dean Butler. If you are in town Wednesday evening, October 28, the Claremore Museum of History will host the Will Rogers Author Posse, where selected authors will be available to meet the community and other guests.
WRMA's first Craft of Writing the West Conference will be held all day Friday, October 30, at the River Spirit Casino Resort, where you'll enjoy a variety of sessions led by award-winning authors, scholars, and even actors. Later that night Barry Corbin, Bruce Boxleitner, Dean Butler, Rob Word, and Mason Beals will present "An Evening with Will," where these talented gentlemen will read Will Rogers' most popular radio commentaries before a live studio audience. Both the conference and the radio commentary program are free and open to the public.
The weekend wraps up Saturday, October 31, with the annual 2026 Will Rogers Medallion Award Banquet and Ceremony at River Spirit Casino Resort. Dinner will be followed by the reveal of award rankings, the presentation of medallions to the winners, and plenty of exceptional entertainment, including Grammy Award-winning singer, Clint Black.
